Get the tattoo now. Pay for it in four.
We take Afterpay at the studio, so you can split your tattoo into four payments instead of covering it all in one day. No interest, and it does not touch your credit score. This page just walks you through getting set up — there is nothing to pay here. You do it in the Afterpay app, then pay at the studio when your tattoo is done.

Four steps in the app
Do this at home before your appointment. It takes a few minutes, and it all happens on your phone.

Get the Afterpay app
Search Afterpay in the App Store or Google Play and install it.

Fill out the form and get approved
Sign up with your name, date of birth, and email. You will need to be 18 or older and a U.S. resident. Afterpay runs a soft credit check, which does not affect your credit score. Once you are approved, the app shows the amount you are pre-approved to spend — look under the Card tab. If Afterpay is new to you, expect to start lower; limits usually grow the longer you use it and pay on time.

Add your bank card to Afterpay
Put your debit or credit card into your Afterpay account. That is the card Afterpay pulls your four payments from, so this step has to be done before anything will go through.

Add Afterpay to your phone’s wallet
Last step: in the app, set up the Afterpay Card and add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay. This is the part people skip, and it is the part that matters — the wallet is how you actually pay at the studio.
Stuck on any of it? Afterpay has 24/7 chat inside their app, or call them at (833) 844-8095, daily 8 AM to 9:30 PM Eastern. That is Afterpay’s own support, not the studio — they can see your account and we cannot.

Paying at the studio
When your tattoo is finished and it is time to settle up, open the Afterpay app, tap Open Wallet to Pay In-Store, and hold your phone to our card reader — same as Apple Pay or Google Pay. That is the whole thing.
One quirk worth knowing: the Afterpay Card has no PIN and no CVV, so it can get turned away if it is run as a credit card. If that happens, just ask us to run it as debit and tap again. Nothing is wrong with your account.
Never got around to setting it up? You do not have to be pre-approved before you walk in — plenty of folks do the whole thing standing at the counter. Doing it at home just means you already know your spending limit before you sit down, which helps when you are planning a bigger piece.
The money part
How the four payments work
Afterpay pays us in full on the day. You pay Afterpay back in four pieces: roughly a quarter of the total up front, then the other three come out automatically every two weeks from the card you put in the app. Four payments, six weeks, done.
There is no interest on a pay-in-four plan. Some accounts get a “no payment upfront” option, where that first quarter comes out 8 to 14 days later instead of on the day — your app tells you which one you have before you confirm.
Late or missed payments can mean a fee from Afterpay and can hold up your next purchase with them. All of that is between you and Afterpay — we do not set those terms, see your payment schedule, or get told if a payment misses.

A few details
Deposits are not on Afterpay
Afterpay covers your tattoo at the studio, not your booking deposit. Deposits are paid the usual way when you book — see deposits and booking.
It will not hurt your credit
Afterpay uses a soft credit check to approve you, which does not affect your score. They also do not report pay-in-four plans to the U.S. credit bureaus.
You have to be 18
Afterpay accounts are 18 and over. If you are a minor getting tattooed with a parent or guardian, they would need their own Afterpay account in their name — see our age policy.
Other ways to pay
We also take card, cash, and gift cards. If Afterpay will not go through on the day, we can settle up another way.
