AFTERCARE

The aftercare of your tattoo is very important to the quality and longevity of your tattoo. This process is your responsibility. If you do not take proper care of your tattoo, it is on you. I ask that you follow these aftercare directions. I will bandage your tattoo one of two different ways. each has different directions below.

Regular tattoo bandage (saran wrap or other)

1. Remove your bandage 1 to 2 hrs after.

2. Wash your tattoo once per day with an unscented mild soap.

3. Apply a thin layer of the ointment I suggested to you twice daily.

4. Do not listen to your friends, family or other artists. I did your tattoo, not them.

5. Your tattoo should be healed by the 9th day. Sometimes it may take slightly longer.

6. Do not scratch, pick at or get your tattoo dirty.

7. Do not submerge in water or take long showers.

7. Avoid any situation that could introduce bacteria to your tattoo.

A second skin type bandage (sanidern, Tegaderm or others)

1. This type of bandage acts like a second skin. You literally just leave it on for 9 days.

2. Do not peel or pop it.

3. If it starts to peel, come see me to apply a new layer.

4. On the 9th day, carefully remove the bandage and wash your tattoo with a mild soap.

5. Apply moisturizer for a few days.

For the longevity of your tattoo, you should always adopt a good skin moisturizer daily for life. This will help keep your tattoos looking vibrant, healthy and newer longer. If you have any issues with your tattoo, please contact me from here, email or on social media. Thank you for allowing me to tattoo you and I look forward to our years working with each other.
